Le premier num\u00e9ro de La Vie au grand air<\/em> para\u00eet en avril 1898, sous la direction de Pierre Lafitte, journaliste sportif. Ce dernier invente un nouveau type de presse acc\u00e8s sur la reproduction de photographies sportives dites \u00ab\u00a0 en action\u00a0\u00bb. D\u2019ailleurs Thierry Gervain, historien de la Presse, souligne\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0\u00a0La modernit\u00e9 des doubles pages de\u00a0La Vie au grand air\u00a0[qui] proc\u00e8de directement du choix de la photographie comme mode illustratif\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb. Un des principaux photographes du journal est Joseph Jules Beau, un des premiers reporters sportifs fran\u00e7ais. Le journal s\u2019\u00e9teint en 1922.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The first issue of La Vie au grand air appeared in April 1898, under the editorship of sports journalist Pierre Lafitte. He invented a new type of press based on the reproduction of sports photographs \u00ab\u00a0in action\u00a0\u00bb. Press historian Thierry Gervain points out: \u00ab\u00a0The modernity of the double-page spreads in La Vie au grand air stems directly from the choice of photography as an illustrative medium\u00a0\u00bb. One of the paper’s main photographers was Joseph Jules Beau, one of France’s first sports reporters. The paper died out in 1922.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n
